Overview

MOTUL DOT 5.1 is a long-life, 100% synthetic, non-silicone-base brake fluid for all types of hydraulically actuated brake and clutch systems requiring a fluid meeting DOT 3, DOT 4, or DOT 5.1 specifications. Its fluidity is specially designed for anti-lock brake systems (ABS) and other electronic stability programs (ESP, ASR, etc.), and its high wet boiling point (185°C/365°F) exceeds the DOT 3/4/5.1 minimum requirements, enabling a longer service life.

Use only in hydraulic brake and clutch systems designed for DOT 3, DOT 4 or DOT 5.1 fluid. Mixable with DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 non-silicone-base products; do not mix with silicone (DOT 5 silicone-base) or mineral-base (LHM) hydraulic fluids. Store in the original container, tightly closed, to prevent moisture absorption. Change interval: 12 to 24 months according to manufacturer's recommendations; for safety, draining once a year is recommended.
