Overview
MOTUL RBF 660 FACTORY LINE is a 100% synthetic racing brake fluid for all types of hydraulically actuated brake and clutch systems requiring a non-silicone synthetic fluid. It is specially formulated to resist the extreme temperatures generated by racing carbon and ceramic brakes, minimizing air entrance for brake cooling, while remaining suitable for conventional steel discs and clutch actuator systems. It widely exceeds DOT 3, DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 boiling-point standards.
Compatibility

Key Features
- 100% Synthetic racing brake fluid formulated for hydraulic brake and clutch systems
- Very high dry boiling point of 328°C / 622°F, exceeding DOT 5.1 (260°C mini) and DOT 4 (230°C mini) minimums
- High wet boiling point of 204°C / 399°F for reliable braking performance once the fluid has absorbed moisture
- Formulated to resist extreme heat from racing carbon and ceramic brakes while also suiting conventional steel discs
- Meets FMVSS 116 DOT 4 and SAE J1703 / J1704 standards
Applications
- All hydraulically actuated brake and clutch systems requiring a non-silicone synthetic DOT 4 fluid
- Racing applications using carbon or ceramic brakes subject to extreme heat
- Conventional steel brake discs and clutch actuator systems

Directions for Use
Use only in hydraulic brake and clutch systems designed for a non-silicone synthetic DOT 4 fluid. Avoid mixing with polyglycol-based brake fluids from other ranges; do not mix with silicone (DOT 5 silicone-based) or mineral-based (LHM) fluids. Bleed/replace brake fluid using standard hydraulic brake bleeding procedure. Brake fluid absorbs moisture from the air over time, which lowers its boiling point and increases the risk of "vapor lock" — replace at the vehicle manufacturer's recommended service interval. Store in the original container, tightly closed, to prevent moisture absorption.
Installation and usage guidance is general reference only. Manufacturer instructions take precedence. Visitors uncertain about installation or use should seek professional advice.
FAQ
Can Motul RBF 660 Factory Line be mixed with other brake fluids?
Avoid mixing with polyglycol-based brake fluids from other ranges. Do not mix with silicone (DOT 5 silicone-based) or mineral-based (LHM) fluids.
What is the boiling point of Motul RBF 660 Factory Line?
Its dry boiling point is 328°C / 622°F and its wet boiling point (after absorbing 3% water) is 204°C / 399°F — both superior to conventional DOT 4 and DOT 5.1 fluids.
Is Motul RBF 660 Factory Line suitable for racing brakes?
Yes. It is specially designed to resist the extreme temperatures generated by racing carbon and ceramic brakes, while also being usable with conventional steel discs and clutch systems.
