Attention: Custom-Made Product
This brake hose is custom-made for the specified vehicle. Please double-check that you have selected the correct product for your exact model before ordering. This hose is designed for the original equipment (OE) brake kit only and cannot be fitted to an aftermarket brake kit.
As this is a custom-made item, it is non-returnable and non-refundable once ordered.
Overview
This PRO RS brake hose kit is a direct-fit replacement for the original rubber brake hose on the Porsche 968 3.0L/Turbo Coupe/Convertible 1991-1995. Made with a stainless steel braided outer layer and a PTFE inner liner, it eliminates the line expansion that causes a soft brake pedal, giving a shorter and more direct pedal feel. It is custom-made for this vehicle and backed by a 5-year warranty.
Compatibility
- Porsche 968 3.0L/Turbo Coupe/Convertible 1991-1995
Key Features
- Stainless Steel Braided Outer Layer — 304 stainless steel braid resists expansion and keeps the hose diameter stable under hard braking.
- PTFE Inner Liner — withstands high temperatures (-70°C to +260°C) and resists DOT3/DOT4/DOT5.1 brake fluid.
- Vehicle-Specific Fittings — matched thread/fitting for the model, no flaring or welding needed.
- PVC Protective Sleeve — clear PVC over the braid protects against grit and moisture.
- Pre-Assembled — the hose assembly ships with fittings already attached, ready to install.
- Stainless Steel Braid + PTFE Inner Liner — replaces the OE rubber brake hose to eliminate the pedal softness caused by hose expansion under pressure.
- 5-Year Warranty — PRO RS SAFEBRAKE hoses come with a standard 5-year warranty.
- Direct-Fit — vehicle-specific fittings, no modification needed to install.
- Malaysian-Developed — a local brand sized for common Malaysian and international vehicle models.
- Meets International Standards — built to SAE J1401 / FMVSS 106 brake hose safety standards.

Installation
- Installation must be carried out by a qualified technician.
- Remove the original rubber brake hose and fit the PRO RS hose to the matching connection points.
- Bleed the entire brake system of air and check for leaks before driving.
- Inspect the braid monthly; replace immediately if damaged, bulging, or leaking.
- Use only DOT3 / DOT4 / DOT5.1 brake fluid — do not use DOT5 (silicone-based) fluid.
FAQ
Does a steel braided hose feel harder than the OE rubber hose? How does it change brake feel?
A steel braided hose does not expand under pressure the way a rubber hose does, so the brake pedal has shorter, more direct travel. It isn't "harder" — it's more precise pedal feedback.
Do I need to change the brake fluid when installing this hose?
Installing the hose means removing the old OE hose, which loses some brake fluid. We recommend topping up or changing to fresh brake fluid (DOT4 recommended) and fully bleeding the system afterward.
How long does a PRO RS steel braided hose last?
PRO RS provides a 5-year warranty. Under normal road use, the PTFE inner lining typically outlasts a rubber hose. We recommend checking the braid and fittings for wear once a year.
Is installation complicated? Do I need a professional technician?
We recommend having it installed by a qualified workshop. The brake system must be bled properly after installation — skipping this step creates a serious risk of brake failure.
Does a steel braided hose affect the ABS system?
No. The hose only replaces the OE rubber hose — it doesn't change the ABS pump or line routing, and the ABS sensors and controller are unaffected.
What is the maximum working pressure of the PRO RS brake hose?
SAFEBRAKE states a maximum working pressure of 321 bar, a minimum burst pressure of 966 bar, and a minimum bend radius of 38 mm, tested at a working temperature range of 10°C to 70°C.
