A low-ash 5W-40 for modern petrol and diesel engines, including those with diesel particulate filters. Synthetic technology gives high shear stability and strong wear protection, while the low-SAPS formula keeps exhaust after-treatment systems working properly. It is approved by BMW and Mercedes-Benz for longlife servicing. Is Top Tec 4100 5W-40 good for Malaysia's hot weather and traffic jams?
Yes. The 40 hot grade gives a strong lubricating film at high oil temperatures, which helps during long idling in jams, hot weather and fast highway runs. Stay within the viscosity grades your manufacturer allows.
Can I mix Top Tec 4100 5W-40 with other oils, and is it safe for turbo and DPF engines?
You can top up with another engine oil in an emergency, but use the same oil where possible: mixing with a normal-ash oil reduces the low-ash protection for particulate filters. It is a low-ash formula suitable for engines with particulate filters, and it is tested for turbochargers and catalytic converters.
