Overview

A fully synthetic 0W-40 for high-performance petrol and diesel engines. It flows quickly at start-up yet holds a strong lubricating film when the engine is working hard, and it resists thermal breakdown and deposits over long oil-change intervals. That stability matters in Malaysia, where engines sit hot in stop-go traffic and afternoon heat for long stretches. Tested for turbochargers and catalytic converters, it keeps oil pressure steady and the engine clean between services.

Compatibility

Check the oil specification in your owner's manual and match it with the approvals above, or look up your vehicle in the LIQUI MOLY Oil Guide.

FAQ

Is Liqui Moly Synthoil Energy 0W-40 suitable for my car?

It is suitable if your owner's manual calls for ACEA A3/B4, MB 229.3, VW 502 00/505 00 or Porsche A40. Check the oil specification in your manual, not just the viscosity, and match it with the specifications listed on this page. If you are unsure, look up your car in the LIQUI MOLY Oil Guide or ask us.

Is Synthoil Energy 0W-40 good for Malaysia's hot weather and traffic jams?

Yes. The 40 hot grade gives a strong lubricating film at high oil temperatures, which helps during long idling in jams, hot weather and fast highway runs. Stay within the viscosity grades your manufacturer allows.

Can I mix Synthoil Energy 0W-40 with other oils, and is it safe for turbo and DPF engines?

It can be mixed with other commercially available engine oils for topping up, but it works best unmixed. It is tested for turbochargers and catalytic converters. It is not a low-ash oil, so it is not the right choice for diesel cars with a particulate filter (DPF) that require an ACEA C oil.
