Yes. The 30 hot grade covers normal operating temperatures, and its shear-stable formula keeps a steady lubricating film during long idling in traffic jams and hot afternoon drives. Always use the viscosity your manufacturer specifies.
Can I mix Top Tec 4200 5W-30 with other oils, and is it safe for turbo and DPF engines?
You can top up with another engine oil in an emergency, but use the same oil where possible: mixing with a normal-ash oil reduces the low-ash protection for particulate filters. It is a low-ash formula suitable for engines with particulate filters, and it is tested for turbochargers and catalytic converters.
